Announcements

The Library and Archives has reopened:

Thursday and Friday 12-4 p.m.
Open by appointment only

Due to the COVID-19 situation, we’ve made some changes to our library protocols:

  • First, an appointment will be required to visit. Please email library@cincymuseum.org to reserve your spot. Appointments will be accepted in two hour increments from 12-2 p.m. and from 2-4 p.m.
  • Next, please provide us with a detailed list of the items you wish to see. Much of our collection is housed off-site, and requested materials will couriered over to the library’s Reading Room in advance of your visit.
  • During your visit, we will be happy to assist you with the collections and finding aids on-site, but the courier service will not be available. Similarly, the bookshelves in the Reading Room will not be open for browsing, but our staff will be happy to retrieve items on request.
  • All items used will be quarantined for 72 hours between patrons.

Also, in accordance with City of Cincinnati Ordinance No. 246, all guests are required to wear a mask when visiting. There are select exemptions to this policy:

  • Anyone for which wearing a face mask is not advisable for health reasons, including anyone with a medical condition, mental condition or development disability.
  • Anyone who is unable to remove their face mask without assistance.
  • Children under age 6.

If you have an exemption, please visit our Public Safety Office to obtain a wristband which will be a visual cue to staff that you are in compliance with our face mask policy.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
