About the Library
The Cincinnati Museum Center’s Geier Collections & Research Center houses the Science Library, a non-circulating, research library. The Science Library collects and maintains historic and current information used by CMC curators and educators.
The Science Library holds collections on: Archaeology, Invertebrate and Vertebrate Paleontology, Herpetology, Ornithology as well as some general natural history literature. Types of resources include: books, journals, journal reprints, pamphlets, maps, flyers, guides, proceedings, academic materials in paper and bound formats. There are also publications on microfiche, CD, and links to electronic resources. Books and journals (with holdings information) are searchable through the online catalog G-COLD.
Although the Science Library is used primarily by the CMC staff, it is available for public use on Thursday mornings from 9:00 to noon by appointment.
The Science Library is located at the Geier Center, 760 W. Fifth Street, Cincinnati, Ohio.
The Library is open by appointment only on Thursday mornings.
